Laura Pietrantonio

Laura Pietrantonio joined LJT Avocats in 2020, where she works as part of the Communications and Marketing team. She advises clients on the legal aspects of their promotional campaigns, including reviewing advertising across various media, drafting and reviewing contracts, and assessing promotional contests.

Laura also regularly advises clients in the pharmaceutical industry on a variety of legal and compliance matters, such as advertising aimed at consumers and healthcare professionals, service agreements with healthcare professionals and other industry stakeholders, funding arrangements through grants and sponsorships, and the development of internal standard operating procedures and compliance programs.

In addition, she provides guidance on matters related to the protection of personal information, including reviewing and developing internal privacy practices and policies, conducting privacy impact assessments, and drafting or reviewing agreements involving data processing.

Before joining the firm, Laura gained experience in civil and commercial litigation, contract law, intellectual property, and marketing at a boutique law firm. She drafted commercial contracts (distribution, service), participated in disputes involving unfair competition, breach of contract, shareholder disputes, and copyright infringement.

Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2019 and the Ontario Bar in 2020, Laura Pietrantonio holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (LL.L.) from the University of Ottawa and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in North American Common Law from the University of Montreal.
