A partner at the firm, Karl Michel joined LJT Lawyers in 2020 and has been practicing condominium and real estate law since 2016. He mainly advises and represents syndicates of co-ownership and any other person with interests to assert within or against them, accompanying his clients to validate the legal compliance of decisions and actions taken on a daily basis. He also has extensive experience in matters of construction defects, as well as in cases involving issues falling within the jurisdiction of the Administrative Housing Tibunal.
He is also a frequent panelist and lecturer for various renowned organizations such as the Regroupement des gestionnaires et copropriétaires du Québec (RGCQ), the Association québécoise des gestionnaires et copropriétaires du Québec (AQGC) and the Association professionnelle des courtiers immobiliers du Québec (APCIQ). He is also a regular speaker at the “Recent developments in condominium law” seminars organized by the Quebec Bar.
Committed to his professional community, he has been a director of the RCGQ Montréal since April 2023 and is actively involved in updating the Code of divided co-ownership.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.A.A) from HEC Montréal and a Bachelor in Law (LL.B.) from the University of Montréal. His complementary training in business administration gives him a broad perspective in his field of practice.
