Dany Montpetit

Dany Montpetit joined LJT Avocats in 2017. His professionalism, expertise, and agility in developing legal solutions tailored to his clients’ needs earned him a promotion to partner in 2022.

Specializing in business law and tax law, he primarily focuses his practice on supporting small and medium-sized business owners with their legal and tax needs, particularly in matters related to business acquisition, operation, and sale.

As a lawyer passionate about his field, Dany provides his clients with a personalized and strategic approach. His clientele consists mainly of pharmacy owners, as well as entrepreneurs in the construction and technology sectors. He also advises emerging companies, guiding them from their inception to their expansion, helping them navigate legal and tax challenges.

Before joining LJT, Dany built a solid background in various legal environments. From 2012 to 2016, he worked at a civil law firm, representing individuals and businesses in court. In 2016, he chose to focus his practice on tax law by joining a firm specializing in tax services for small businesses. This experience allowed him to strengthen his expertise in the field before fully applying it at LJT.

Dany earned his law degree from Université de Montréal in 2012 and completed a master’s degree in taxation at Université de Sherbrooke in 2017. His strong academic background, combined with his diverse professional experience, makes him a well-rounded and versatile legal advisor.

Beyond his practice, Dany is known for his commitment to sharing his expertise with colleagues. He is responsible for organizing internal conferences to keep the firm's tax professionals informed of the latest developments. He also gives presentations to business owner groups, offering them insights and tools to guide their business decisions.
