Immigration: the Employer Portal entered into force
The requirement for every Canadian employer to register via the "Employer Portal" has entered into force on October 26th 2015.
This registration required for the purposes of a work permit exempted from a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
Registration involves a process consisting of several steps from obtaining a "key" to the entry of various corporate data.
Subsequently, once CIC has validated the information, the employer will be granted an account wich enables it to fulfill, directly or via his lawyers, the "Employer Compliance formalities" and pay the required fees ($230).
The IMM5802 form is no longer accepted, except for applications submitted before October 26th and in situations where the foreign worker submits an application before November 21st.
Therefore, it is urgent to register as soon as possible since the network may suffer delays given the high number of applicants.
